Copper above is one of the many special dogs at the shelter that
really need a home. Copper is a neutered male of about 2 to 3 yrs old with a really great personality. He is very
loving and gets attached to people quickly.
Open your heart and home to one of the many shelter animals this
month that, like Copper, are in shelters and rescues everywhere. All of these dogs need a family with lots of love.
If you can not adopt a dog this month consider donating a $30. fee that will
ensure one of the dogs at the shelter will be spayed or neutered and give them a better chance of finding their home.
Don't Buy while so many die! ADOPT!
Construction of the indoor spaces are scheduled as soon as we have donations/purchased
the necessary block. The plan is to put up cinder block walls to form the sleeping spaces and use wrought iron gates
for the front of each cage. If you have used block lying around not in use or are able to donate block please
contact the shelter for pick up. 304-369-7283 Donations Coordinator.

Still need signs for the building and to post at the end of the street. The one large outdoor run is
now up and the dogs are getting out every day to get their exercise. Soon we will start the effort to pressure
wash and paint but for now we are waiting on the large windows and the exhaust fans which should be in soon.
The additional space we thought would be available has been taken up with kennels and new dogs, puppies, kittens and
cats coming in daily.
Since February of 2008 we have fostered the dogs and cats in private homes and have had limited space
to take the ones that were in desperate need. With the addition of this building we will have the space to take
in dogs and cats from both county operated pounds in Logan and Boone county as well as the stray and abandoned animals
that also come from Lincoln and Mingo counties.
Check back for updates and if you are able to help or would like to donate materials or support please contact Trish
at 304-369-7283 or trishbragg@4shareinc.com.
