SHARE UPDATE

About Us:

SHARE is a privately-owned animal shelter. We are not an open-intake county-run facility. We are not an animal control facility. We do not get government funding. Our work is funded through donations and adoption fees. We cannot always accept animals at a moment's notice. Please do not leave animals at our facility when no one is there. Please contact us with photos and a description of the animal's overall health & personality and we will be in touch regarding an appointment for intake. Be advised that it typically takes about 2-4 weeks before we will have an open spot for your pet at our facility.  SHARE does not accept aggressive/dangerous dogs.

Spring is not only the blooming of flowers and trees but puppy season.  SHARE has been innundated with puppies and dogs.  Volunteers are DESPERATELY needed.

To help with information flow, I've set up this email address that is being manned by a volunteer.  This is now the best way to reach SHARE.

If you can help with the vet bills for hoarder dogs taken in recently please go to the chip in page and donate.  No amount too small.  http://safehavenanimalrescue.chipin.com/mypages/view/id/b1e5040829368a97

You can also pay directly to the vet by credit card or check. To use credit card call 1-304-235-2838 or send checks to Tug Valley Vetrinary Clinic at 55 West Third Ave., Williamson, WV 25661

Many animals have been taken in due to emergency situations and volunteers are desperately needed to help care for the animals.  If you are able to foster and would like to be part of the SHARE Foster program please send an email and we will send you the volunteer/foster application.  It is a great way to help out and the dogs and cats become your personal contribution to helping build a solid rescue in this area that desperately needs this resource.

The need is still great for monthly donations, volunteers to help with the animals, rescues to accept the overflow, materials for restoration and upgrades and the support of all interested and concerned parties.

If you are able to put out donation jars, contact businesses, find rescues/ no-kill shelters willing to take dogs or cats online, help with transports, have a couple of hours per week to socialize with the animals or just have some time you could spend promoting the rescue please; now is the time to do these things.
